Monument Pinnacle

Location: Utah/Arizona, Monument Valley Tribal Park

We camped in winter at the head of the 17-mile drive and the start of the Wildcat Trail, since the hotel had displaced the old campground. The late afternoon light lit up Sentinel Mesa, casting long shadows from sparse vegetation on the snow. To create more of a focal point, I took some liberties with the Sentinel spire.
